In the project Exploration I was interested in investigating how photography has evolved after the birth of digital. My attention was particularly drawn by the relationship between the subject matter behind the image and the image itself. I wanted to examine how a photograph can still exist as a three dimensional object in time and space. I investigated the photograph as a thing; an object which is not easy to reproduce and only exists through its uniqueness. I have been experimenting with various types of materials; leaves, wood, rocks, plastics, metals, glass, flowers and even food. Experimenting helped me to expand my project. I have specially chosen to photograph woman faces and their naked bodies to symbolise nature that human beings come from. My will of creating photographic objects led me to present Exploration as an installation. Therefore I have placed them in a vitrine which refers to displaying specimens at museums. With magnifying glasses, the observer is invited to move around, examinate and explore.
